Sunny Loan’s parent company is called Elevate. Elevate is based in the UK and they feature many testimonials from the customers on their website – most of whom give them a 5-star rating. They are also rated 9.4/10 by ‘Trustpilot’ and that score is based on 3,266 verified reviews.

What is a Sunny loan?

A Sunny payday loan is a loan that you repay on the date either you’re paid by your employer or within thirty days. With a short-term loan, that’s different – you repay the loan anywhere from 1 to 12 months depending on the agreement that was made when taking out the loan.

Using a Sunny short-term loan, you can borrow anywhere from £100 and £2,500. You’ll have anywhere between 6 and 14 months to pay back the loan. Their flexible terms mean you can repay the money earlier than agreed on if you choose to and save a lot in interest.

Sunny Loans also offer payday loans in which you can borrow £50 to £1,000 which must be payed within a month.

The amount of time it takes for Sunny Loans to decide whether the loan is right for you varies. Sometimes it takes a few minutes, other times you may be asked to send in extra paperwork which will hold up the decision. In most cases, you will not be asked to do this, however if you are, Sunny will tell you by email.

Once your application has been accepted by Sunny. your loan will generally be sent to you within 15 minutes but it normally takes your bank about an hour to credit your account.

What are the requirements of a sunny loan?

To qualify for a Sunny loan, you’ll need to provide the following information on their online application form:

  • Employer details
  • Bank and debit details (such as your sort and account number)
  • Address/addresses in the past 3 years
  • Monthly income and expenditure

What’s the difference between Sunny and Moneypod?

Whereas Sunny Loans is a direct lender, Moneypod is a broker.

Sunny Loans only lend money to you from their own funds when you approach them direct. They carry out their own credit check and they have their own preferences about the types of customers they like to lend to.

If you apply for a Sunny Loan but you’re turned down, there’ll be a full search showing on your credit file. That happens every time you approach a direct lender and they say “no”. The problem with that is, if you keep on applying for loans, search after search will be recorded and that’ll make it less likely that a lender will say “yes” to you.

You completely avoid this worry with Moneypod because we’re a broker, not a direct lender like Sunny. What does this mean for you? Moneypod acts as a matchmaker. When we get your details, we run lots of different preliminary checks on your application to match it to the right lenders. You’re much more likely to find the right lender and, in most cases, less likely to get a “no”.

What are Sunny’s FCA registration details?

The Financial Conduct Authority – or FCA for short – protects you – the customer. You should only ever use lenders that are FCA-registered and -approved. When you use an FCA-approved lender, you receive the following protections:

  • Lenders cannot charge you an interest rate higher than 0.8% per day (that’s the same as £24 on each £100 you borrow)
  • Any penalty or default fees you’re charged will be no more than £15
  • Your lender cannot make you repay more than the agreed fee and interest rate that was originally agreed on when first taking out the loan.

Sunny Loans’ parent company, Elevate Credit International Limited, is regulated and authorised by the FCA. Their registration number is 673771.

Moneypod is also FCA-registered. Our parent company, Nouveau Finance Limited is regulated and authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority with our reference number being 727348.
